What if after you witness to someone they aren’t ready to give their life to Jesus?
That is ok! Your job is to witness to people about what Jesus did in your life. The word says “They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Revelations 12:11
You lay seeds and the Father will grow that seed in their hearts. Some people are ready right on the spot and others might take months or years. God’s timing is perfect and every person in your path is there for a reason. Be led by the Holy Spirit and he will make it very easy to highlight which person is ready to hear the good news in your life.
Are people saved just by reading this prayer?
No, this is definitely not true. This isn’t about just reading a prayer. The person has to be ready to give their lives completely to Jesus, pick up their cross, and follow him for the rest of their lives. Becoming born again has to do with their heart posture. Do they have the revelation that Jesus died for their sins? Do they understand they need a savior? Do they understand what repentance means? To repent you don’t just say you are sorry and keep doing the same sin over and over. To repent, you turn from your sin, a complete 180 degree turn, and walk the other way. It is changing your thinking.
What happens after someone is born again?
This is an important detail that many miss. People need to be discipled after they are born again. This is why we have custom fields for people to put in their local bible believing & Holy Spirit filled Church. It is good for new believers to have a place of worship and community of believers to learn and grow with. We are not meant to be on the walk alone.
Another very important detail is to tell people to read their bibles daily. People should get into the word and ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom when reading their bible.
“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”Romans 12:2
Where should you hand out the salvation cards?

Your mission field is everywhere you go.
Grocery Stores: Share your faith to the cashiers. Cotsco is another great harvest field. You can talk to the greeters, the people handing out samples, people shopping next to you, the cashiers when you check out, and the people that check your receipt when you leave. That is five sets of people to share the good news with in just one store!
Restaurants: when you go out to eat, you have a captive audience with your waiter or waitress. What about the hostess? What about the people that are coming by filling up the water and cleaning up the plates? Every single person counts!
Drive thru: I will be host, I like to talk to the check out people in Dairy queen after they hand my blizzard over:) It doesn’t take but a second to ask them if they know Jesus. Have they heard the good news? Are they born again? Just open the conversation and people will talk to you.
Home Depot & Lowes: What about the people you ask for help when you are looking for filters or screws? What about the people that work the self check outs?
Food Pantry’s: This is the a great place to start. Find a local food pantry you can volunteer at. This is where it all started for me. Talk to the people walking up. Ask if they would like some prayer. You would be surprised how many people will say yes. You are meeting one of their physical needs. This is an incredible time to talk people about the good news of salvation. People almost always perk up when I talk to them about Jesus. They will tell you what they need prayer for and they will also tell you their struggles. It is Church hurts the majority of the time. People aren’t looking for religion they are looking for relationship!
I think you are getting the point. The field is everywhere you go in your day. The entire world needs Jesus and it is up to the Church to spread the good news.

What happens if I get rejected?
Jesus helped me with this. He told me that other people’s reactions to hearing the message of salvation is not of my concern. My job is to tell them the truth. This really put me at peace with rejection.
As your relationship grows closer to the Lord, the easier witnessing becomes. The Holy Spirit makes it very easy and obvious to whom to talk to and when. You will start to notice within seconds a sign, their words, or a reaction to any open ended question that comes to surface. This is your opportunity to tell them how Jesus saved your soul and changed your life.
In my experience so far 1 out of 10 would reject me. Then I noticed the next time I ran into the person that rejected me, they had a different reaction. They started talking to me about hardship. Many started asking me for prayer. These are the same people that told me they were atheist or agnostic! I started to notice the word was sown and the Holy Spirit was watering the seed. He was convicting them of sin and pulling them closer to the Father.
Do I just give people the card without speaking?
No! The card is just a tool. It provides a opening with purpose. The goal is to speak about your faith and relationship with Jesus to someone new. 99% of the people I speak to have “Church Hurt” and they want nothing to do with religion. I agree with them and say neither do I! This is about relationship not religion. People don’t understand our creator wants to have a relationship with us and they don’t know that it is even possible to have a relationship with Jesus. Share the good news.
I also like to say “if you are having trouble believing that is ok. Just cry out to the Lord in prayer for him to reveal himself to you. He will! Then it is your choice what to do next.”
Every person on earth has a free will. Everyone has a choice to make. Reject Jesus or accept him as their personal Lord & Savior. The Lord will not push himself on anyone. He is a gentlemen. When he expressed that to me it took all the pressure off me. It is our job to tell the truth about salvation. How the other person reacts is not of our concern.
